Personality Crisis

Well, let me start with the words "fuck the damn plan". Has been a strange day. I knew it early when I was walking in an oily lake. Really. A whole lot of things have been weird today. First of all:

a) Michael Monroe has cancelled his performance in Turku book festival, (according to the festival's office worker) for the third time. Of course I'm bloody disappointed it went this way but I've had it in my mind of days. When I met Dirty Monroe this morning I went on how I should call the office about the date and she was all "Don't stress out with it, okay". I told her about him not being in the programe but neither in the list of performers, that I don' even know if he's coming! Guess, who got stressed out and called them then :D Well, bright side is that I'll save money for the Sam Yaffa & Pelle Almgren record :)

b) Today the trash magazine covers included Andy McCoy's face and head lines of "Andy bled after being beat up". And how did that come to me? My mind screaming "Panic! Panic!" I read the article and I was real scared for both, Andy's condition and selfishly the conserts I'm going to. There was a link to a video some ass hole took of this fight. Somehow, I came up with watching it. As stupid as it seems, I'm glad I did. I don't have to worry about it anymore. Andy was totally not bleeding, he was on the win! It wasn't as bad as the magazines made it. Fortunadly so.

c) Sixx sent me a crazy ass video she shot in Pakkahuone as we met Sami Yaffa and Steve Conte. Those two minutes included me hugging Sami four times, (you can't get any clear of my talk) him saying stuff like "I love you too", "You two are the coolest, the number ones" (to me and Sixx) and him cracking up by this one thing I did. Won't tell. Already by 20 seconds gone of the clip I couldn't breathe. It got me all hysterical. Made me cry and laugh and hyperventilate at the same time. Never seen a video that made me feel that way.

But one of the funniest things of the day conversation with Tane, my guitar teacher. Or actually I overheard the conversation and then particiated it. As I was lacing my boots, as he put on his head this eighties, very Hanoi-ish, black wig with silver stripes. Then he started telling his friends loudly: "You know, on the streets and everywhere you pass these stupid looking Hanoi Rocks fans who's haircuts look like this joke of a wig and are wearing zebra patterned trousers.. Those patterns and all that shit and their make up make them look like wild animals!" And I was there listening, wearing leopard patterned jeans and thought about Sixx and Dirty Monroe. "Well, thank you from all my friends!" Then he came to me saying "I don't think you should listen to this. But you gotta admit, it makes you a little worried when you know if had raw meat within your wrist they'd eat you up." Who is that squirrel to talk? :D

Desperados

Okay, I made the damn plan. I just couldn't help it :D And because I don't know which day it is on, Saturday or Sunday I made plans for both! So if Michael's there on Saturday October 3rd, this is how it'll go:

1. We'll catch a bus to Turku 6:35. The bus'll arrive by 9:30. This is how we'll go until we find out the more exact time of Michael's presense and then we can look for later busses. A reason why bus, not train, is that the trains go reeeeally rarely on weekends between Tampere and Turku. The ticket costs 11,20 euros.

2. The ticket to the book festival costs 5 euros. It ends by 18:00.

3. Somehow, in the leaving there was also big breaks in the rain timelines so we'll come by bus too. Bus departs 18:35 and arrives here 21:30. It costs too 11,20 euros. It's Saturday so Sixx, you should stay at mine this night and maybe the previous one too.

And the Sunday plan:

1. Same bus, same price.

2. Nothing new besides that te festival ends by 17:00

3. Bus departs at 17:35 and arrives at 20:30. Same price. Sixx'll have the time to get home for the night :)

So this is the cheapest and easiest way for the trip. Only down side is that the walk from the bus station to the festival hall is 5,5 kilomtres. But perharps Bambie's and Dirty's mom could drive us all there or something :)

Now Listening: Hanoi Rocks - Beer And A Cigarette

Love, Nancie

Ps. Mixing Sami Yaffa, Steve Conte, a great Dolls gig, back stage, Nancie, Sixx, a consert bus, hugs and a camera is not the sanest calculation to make.

Obscured

I'm dreaming my way to see Michael Monroe down the Turku book festival in early October, but there's hell of mis-promo in there. I mean, I can find Michael within the performer/authors section but no kind of a date, time nor stage, so I'm not completely sure if he's even coming.. Anyway, as long as I can have even the smallest suspicion of him coming, I'm in. Just trying to get Sixx to come with me, because Bambie and Dirty Monroe are going to Turku within their car and they'll spend the night at their sister's. However, Sixx is cool company :D That's why I want her to come. I'll wait a while til the info of the book festival answers my email before I start planning any detailed chedules for the day, no matter how I'm feeling the temptation to.

School's keeping me quite busy this week, I gotta sew a freaking mushroom or whatever it is to my grafts lesson (return day: tomorrow), read a book for Finnish lesson (return day: Thurstday).. Though the book was optional, so I'm reading my favourite one (of fictional books), Restaurant At The End Of The Universe. And I've got a Cooper's test tomorrow; I practised running last night and all I managed to accomplish was to twist my right ankle - practise helps my result so fucking much! Gotta get back to work :D

Now Listening: Hanoi Rocks - Are You Lonely Tonight?

Love, Nancie

Ps. These boots are made for rocking, kicking ass and stepping over lines.

Hash Cake

Just saw Taking Woodstock movie with Bambie and Dirty Monroe. I was like an hour early because I came straight from my drum lesson and I was a little paranoied of tickets selling out. Yeah, really sold out :D If you'd put every person in the picture hall into the same row, the row wouldn't be filled! Anyway, this is the first time I really talked to Bambie and she was the coolest ever. I'm so glad I'm going to see Andy in Helsinki and Tampere with these kick ass bitches. The waiting went really quickly, had such a blast. In the pictures we laughed so much the other viewers probably weren't enjoying it. Afterwards we hang out in town for hours just having fun. It was great, really can't wait :) I so hope they'll take me in for the Turku book festival in October, there'll be Michael Monroe handing autografts due to his book release "Hanoi Rocks - All Those Wasted Years"! Don't I just Love living :)

Back to the movie. Taking Woodstock kicked ass, man! It was very well made and stuff. The soundtrack - do I have to say anything about it! The LSD scene's my favourite scene. The hills doing waves and lighters of the crowd members looking like the Universe.. Also loved to scene where Elliot kissed on the dance floor first a hippie girl, then this construction worker guy. Totally great.

Today was also my first drumming lesson on my new teacher. Funny how fastly I learned all this jazz and metal stuff I've never heard in my life. The lesson was good for me. Only down side is that there's only one drumset which is waaaay smaller than mine and the pedals are stiffer (my sucker's pedals being too loose) so it's completely different than I've used to. Well, change keeps your mind fresh :)

Now Listening: Hanoi Rocks - Watcha Want?

Peace, Nancie

Ps. May Day and Midsummer are totally not the same!
